Goal of the Role
We are looking for a versatile and motivated Junior Security Operations Engineer to join our growing security team. As a Junior SecOps Engineer, you will be responsible for supporting a wide range of security functions, from Cloud security to DevSecOps, security operations, infrastructure, monitoring and incident response.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone eager to learn and contribute to various aspects of cybersecurity, working across teams and technologies to ensure the availability, confidentiality and integrity of our organization’s technology environment. This role will play an important role in cloud security.
What are you going to do?
- Monitor and triage of security alerts and/or incidents by using various security monitoring tools.
- Assist in deploying, configuring, and managing security tools and technologies like WAF, CNAP, EDR, XDR, EASM, Email security, and others.
- Improve observability by implementing security monitoring solutions.
- Participate in the protection of on-premise and cloud-based systems and networks, ensuring they are resilient to attacks.
- Support the integration of security practices into the development pipeline (DevSecOps) and collaborate with development teams to address security flaws.
- Support the identification, assessment, and prioritization of vulnerabilities in cloud, infrastructure and applications.
- Assist in the investigation and analysis of security incidents and breaches.
- Development of security automation scripts, using coming scripting languages such as Python, Bash.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of security processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Developers, DevOps and IT, to ensure security is embedded throughout the organization.
What are we looking for?
- Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications or related field.
- 2 years of experience working as a Security Engineer.
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity concepts such as EDR/AV, XDR, CNAP, EASM, Email Security, SIEM, WAF.
- Knowledge of programming languages, at least Python.
- Familiarity with ticketing tools like Jira.
- Good level of English (Intermediate).
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- You are curious, passionate about cybersecurity, eager to learn and face new challenges.
- Master in Cybersecurity.
- Relevant certifications, such as CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH), or others is a plus.
- Familiarity with Cloud Environments (AWS, GCP, Azure).
